Billy Bishop -> Montreal -> Shanghai -> Bangkok. 33 hours from when we left our apartment, we arrived in our Airbnb in Bangkok. What a day!

Day 1: Bangkok
18,749 steps. 11.2km. Day 1 was tiring but a great immersion in the city of Bangkok, the first stop on our South East Asia 2018 trip.

A vibrant stroll down bustling alleys of vendors, local busses, and an overnight train to Malaysia.

Day 4-5: Langkawi
Fridays in Malaysia are quiet as the Muslim majority population, especially in the more ritual Langkawi, close up their shops and restaurants for the day. Even at our Eagleye homestay, their Tamarind Cafe was shuttered so we had to explore the island for our meals.

The shadows of the women weaving new cloth bounced across the floors, the different colours of thread moving in and around each other becoming a masterpiece to add to the wall of blankets and scarves.

Our 3 hour drive from the Hanoi airport to Ha Long Bay was our first glimpse of some of the differences with our last new country of the trip, Vietnam.
